Great New Addition

Klaus has been a great addition to our home. He’s friendly to both of our older dogs, very social with everyone in the family, and really smart. This is our first cat because of allergy issues. We got Klaus because Siberians are more hypoallergenic than other breeds. At this point, we’ve experienced no allergy issues!  We are so happy we made the decision to buy Klaus!

Purrfect Kitten

Tunie….Mojo is doing great. He is a great traveler. He traveled 2 hours to and home from our cabin on Rice Lake by Richmond when we stayed there 2 days last weekend. He has made himself at home in our homes. We love him so much. HE LOVES TO PLAY. He also likes to eat! He is not picky about food.  He has lots of energy and he has a calm and laid back personality. He is the perfect kitten for us. How did you know that? Thank you….

Home With a Heart

A couple of years ago I started researching hypoallergenic cats and found Tunie’s Siberians. I was so excited to get all the details. Everything I read about the Siberian breed seemed too good to be true, but it is all true! They’re loving, friendly and sweet as can be and my children and friends with allergies do just fine around them. They have really brought love and happiness to our home. They love playing with all kinds of cat toys. They greet you when you come home and sometimes even meow out the window at us if we are in the yard!

We got Cooper a year and a half ago and Cali about 6 months ago. Andrea was so helpful not only in answering questions before we brought home our first kitten, but after as well. I remember texting her about a few little things here and there she was always quick to come back with answers and resolutions. The kittens come home already litter box trained, it is so nice that Andrea takes extra time to make sure the kittens are well loved and ready for your home!

I have to say our Siberian cats are the heart of our home!

The Complete Family Cat

Me and my fiancée bought our kitten from Tunie’s Siberian Forest Cats in April 2015. Morgan, our cat, is the most wonderful pet I have ever owned.

I grew up with cats as a child but none of them were ever super friendly. And when I met my fiancée and found out he was allergic to cats, I almost cried. I did some research and found out about Siberian Forest Cats. Tunies had such a great website and she answered all our questions. She was great.

We were so excited when we got matched up with a kitten. Tunies gave us weekly updates of pictures and vet appointments and was very flexible with pickup times for Morgan. We live in Canada so we had to figure out a time in our schedule to drive down and pick up Morgan. We were initially worried about the drive back with the kitten but he was so chill! He slept for the whole 9 hour drive.

In the past 2 years, Morgan has been the best cat I have ever had. He is cuddly, cute, nice and easily trained to play fetch. Also, my fiancée who is deathly allergic to cats and dogs has not had a single allergic reaction. They cuddle all the time. Best investment we have ever made. We love our cat so much. Siberians are perfect for any type of family and if you are allergic to cats, you will not have to worry at all. This is a cat you can cuddle from when you wake up to when you go to bed. Thank you Tunie’s for all you’ve done. You completed our family.

My Wonderful Companions

My two Tunie’s kittens are wonderful companions and beautiful cats. Andrea did an excellent job raising intelligent, playful, happy, well-mannered and confident kittens. They are affectionate without being needy. They love getting a tickle and a cuddle and are also content just following me room to room to be able to sit nearby. Working with Andrea was a pleasure, she truly loves all her cats and kittens. I highly recommend Tunie’s Siberian Forest Cats.

Worth the Wait!

We absolutely love our new kitten! He is not only super soft and adorable but also the perfect combination of snuggly and playful, which is exactly what we were hoping for. He always wants to be by your side, on your lap, or even greet you at the door.  Although content to play/sleep alone, he is also very social/well adjusted, and we are so thrilled to have him. My boyfriend is also allergic to cats and has no trouble around him at all. Totally worth the wait!

Ernie’s New Friend Frosty

A year ago, March – we decided to bring kittens back into our home. I did a lot of research and visited numerous breeders before landing on Tunies. As soon as I walked into Andrea’s house – I was sold! She was so kind, caring and her house was spotless! Who knew she was a breeder – let alone a long-haired cat breeder!! On my wish list were cats that didn’t make my daughter wheeze, that were social but not loud, that were entertaining but don’t keep you up all night and that liked to cuddle. I can honestly say – Siberian’s fit all of the above criteria and then some! In late August of last year, we brought Ernie into our home. It took him no time at all for him to feel at home. As soon as you got close to him – he would purr always wanting to be in the same room you are in. Whenever he hears the garage door go up – he goes running to the door to see who is there to greet him. He doesn’t object to being held and just loves to cuddle and play. He even learned how to play fetch and it’s now his favorite game! In March – we adopted another beauty from Tunies – Frosty. He is just as loving! He’s really mellow and loves being held – loves my 9 and 7 year old girls and hasn’t made an accident yet. These cats are gorgeous and although they have long fur, they are very neat. They don’t shed like other breeds and always use their litter box. Andrea has done an amazing job raising these beautiful cats and spends a lot of time with each of them. She knows their personalities and is able to decipher the best fit for the families wanting one. I highly recommend Tunies and the Siberian Forest Cat breed!   Amy B and Family – Farmington, MN

My Wonderful Cat Brownie

I have always wanted a cat, but my mom is allergic. When I went to play at a friend’s house, she brought me to her neighbor’s, Tunie’s Siberians. We got to cuddle and hold some kittens. I learned that Siberian Forest Cats are low allergy. I went home to tell my mom. She couldn’t believe it, but she did some research and agreed to meet the kittens too. Mom asked Andrea a lot of questions.

My dreams came true and we adopted Brownie! He is such a good cat. He loves to cuddle with me every night. He likes to wrestle and play with our dog. He even likes to cuddle with our tortoise too. He sits with me while I do my reading time for school and hangs out in the bathroom when I take a shower. Sometimes I find him curled up in my bathroom sink. I carry him around the house and he doesn’t mind. He loves to play with cat toys and he can be very silly.
I love him very much!

A Very Special Kitten

I have researched about the Siberian breed a lot, being an allergy sufferer. One day I looked at Siberian breeders in MN and found Andrea.  Not only did she live under a mile away from me, she was so knowledgeable and helpful.  I went to her house to play with some of her kittens and see if I had any allergic reaction, I didn’t! I immediately put a little white kitten on hold. He was the cutest thing I have ever seen.  Andrea told me I could visit him anytime I wanted until it was time for him to come live with me.  When I got my little sweetie home, I was astounded at how personable he was, already litter-box trained and possibly the easiest thing in the world to take care of.  I have gotten SO many compliments on his outgoing nature and how loving and sweet he is. I attribute how incredible of a cat he is due to Andrea. She cares so much about each and every kitten that leaves her home.  If you ever have questions or concerns, she goes above and beyond for you and the cat long after the cat comes to live with you.  Finding Andrea and her kitties was one of the best things that could have happened to me.  She is no average breeder and her cats are truly something special. Bandit

When we started looking to purchase a kitten for our daughter, we searched for cat breeds that were less allergenic than most since our entire family suffers from pet allergies. We found that Siberian cats are one of the top low allergy breeds, yet still look like a normal long hair cat.  As we searched the web for local Siberian breeders, one web site really stood out as more professional then the rest… and that was Tunies.  The web site showed pictures of the most recent kitten litters, shared lots of useful information on Siberian Forest cats and had a sign up for the kitten wait list.  The first time I called Andrea to discuss getting a kitten, she patiently answered all my questions about the process as well as how to care for these kittens.  We signed up on the wait list and were told two litters were expected within the next month in December.  When the first litter of 4 was born, we were given a choice between two males and picked a beautiful back color point (?) one.  Since I wanted to surprise my daughter for Christmas, Andrea sent me a nice “kitten gift certificate” and a picture of the kitten I could include.  My daughter was thrilled and spent much of Christmas vacation researching Siberian cats.  She decided to name him Bandit based on the “mask”around his eyes.  When we got to visit Bandit after Christmas at Andrea’s house, it was a wonderful experience to see my daughter cradling this little black fuzz ball.  When we finally picked up Bandit at 2 months of age, we were amazed at how behaved he was thanks to Andrea’s training.  He immediately knew how to find and use the litter box and scratching posts.  Bandit is now about 6 months old and has always left our furniture alone, preferring his scratch posts.  Most importantly, our family has not noticed any worsening of our allergies.  My daughter can bury her face in Bandit’s fur and does not show any signs of allergic reaction.  Amazingly, even though he is a long-haired cat, he sheds almost nothing.  He does not leave hair on our furniture or on our clothes.  We do brush him regularly which also helps reduce any loose hair.  He wants to be wherever we are and can hear us anywhere across 3 stories.  He will walk up to any of us and flop down on his side to be petted.  In the evenings, he will jump up on our laps and go to sleep.  Though he has very sharp claws, he is generally very good about keeping them retracted while we are holding or petting him.  At this age he is still very much a kitten and loves to play… especially hunting.  The Siberians have a long history of being Russian mousers, and this shows in their character.  Bandit loves chasing a feather tied to a pole by a string, and will jump 3-4 feet in the air to try to reach it (these cats are strong jumpers).  When Bandit is in this hunting mode, he can be a little aggressive since he is still a kitten.  Once he is tired out by play though, he becomes very docile and pet able.  Amazingly, my daughter can grab him from behind at anytime and cuddle him with abandon…. and he just takes it without complaint.  In fact, Bandit rarely “cries” at all… he is a very silent cat.  Bandit has been a significant addition to our family and is an extremely loving people cat. Our family somehow seems more “complete” with him and he is a constant source of entertainment.  We have enjoyed the entire experience working with Tunies to get Bandit and I would highly recommend Tunies to anyone considering acquiring a Siberian kitten.

Sincerely,

Wayne and Nadine
